As Siem Reap starts to awaken we are heading out to the Angkor Archaeological Park.  We enter through one of the four ancient city gates, stopping briefly to soak up the atmosphere.  We journey on, into the ancient city of Angkor Thom and to our first real stop at the breathtaking Bayon Temple. Featuring 54 towers adorned with 216 stone faces, Bayon is a sight to behold.

We then explore Baphoun,  the Elephant and Leper King terraces, as well as the ancient Royal palace compound and the beautiful but obscure Preah Palilay.
